Tribute to Bob Marley

Bob Marley

Bob Marley, born Robert Nesta Marley was born on February 6, 1945, he died May 11, 1981. Had he lived, today Bob Marley would be 64 years of age.

Though he has long been gone, his memory has never been forgotten. His beautiful song of love, spirituality and plain old good times have been reveled in for many years and will be loved for many years to come. Hailing from the beautiful island of Jamaica, Bob Marley bought to the mainstream what a beautiful culture that of Jamaica really is.

Today I do not wish to mourn his passing, moreso I would love to honor his memory with quotes form such a talented man and his music which I am sure will saturate your radio waves today as well.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds!

Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol is the destruction.

I don’t stand for the black man’s side, I don’ t stand for the white man’s side.I stand for God’s side.

Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind.

Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live! – Bob Marley

Quote of The Week:

You know you are beginning to come to life when the self-accusing spirit begins to nag you when you do that which is not right. When you lay down at night and something starts jabbing you, saying you know you should not have done that, that means you are coming alive morally. Do not kill that spirit.
