13 Yr old lies on Myspace, gets 2 men arrested

Monday, June 9th, 2008

More sickness reported to us on a daily basis by our local news channels. This one is a little different though because it exposes how some laws operate and how men can be victims of such strict liabilities.

Now I for one do not surf the net, myspace or facebook looking to pick up 8th or 9th graders. However some men do, the two gentlemen in particular claim that they did not know the girl was so young, her myspace page mislead them. I wonder how you can be mislead by a 13 year old, I know that the hormones they are  injecting our food with have the tendency to make these little girls look like grown women but often their minds are far from mature. So I just wonder how a man who is 22, can be mislead by such a  young girl after they had a few conversations. I mean what is she talking about at 13, flavor of love and sequential math homework.

Her father is a shame of a man, he still allows her to keep this myspace page that misleads young gentlemen and still allows her to stay out late. Then cries foul when he finds out that she is sleeping around with older men. This sounds like some nonsense on Maury, the parents should be jailed for allowing this to continuously happen and not taking any precautions to keep their daughter from attempting to mislead men on the internet. 2 Gentlemen have had their lives ruined because of these lies, they will be labeled as sex offenders, and probably raped in prison once the correction officers spread the word on the block what these brothers are in for. I think the father should be arrested and the girl should be monitored or taken away from these careless parents of hers.

As a message to the brothers, please use your head and be more careful when meeting people off of the internet. This man is now spending time in prison and has had his life ruined because he hastily went to bed with this young manipulative girl. Statutory rape cases are strict liabilities which means the court does not care that you did not know that she was a certain age. Because you committed the crime, you will do the time and claiming ignorance is not a viable defense in these scenarios.

Misunderstood: A Hustler’s Tale

Driven by dreams of material things
Cant blame em; on TV that’s all he seen
Takes more than a reckless spirit
To build a crack empire
Learn the ways of the street fast
Or your life will soon expire
Fiends is clickin’ to what they got on 43rd
So you set up shop next to the woods on 45th
House in the cut you don’t want no shit

Takes more than a reckless spirit
To do what your doing
More like economics and trade agreements
In that language you’re fluent
If only Columbia or Harvard came to the hood
Maybe this young man wouldn’t be misunderstood
With these practices
You’d be a top CEO
But instead we’re relegated to the streets
It ain’t fun out here
Everybody’s packing heat

So you wholesale your product
So all the abusers come to you
Now their consumers
Are your customers
And everybody knows you
Business is good, assets and such
Be careful brother, don’t press ya luck
You got big dreams
To get ya family out the hood
Never was too flashy
But now your rims are what make you look good
Just some more attention
Before they wave ya ass goodbye
Coppers watching, enemies plottin’, snitches will end ya life

He coulda been bigger than John Rockefeller
Coulda taken his charisma
And used it for something better
The world judges you
For serving with hope with despair
The streets is watching
You cant sleep
This lovely crack house
Is surrounded by fiends
Your enemies creep with guns
With ambitions to blow holes in your dreams
Yet the cops pick you up
Putting football numbers behind this big dream
Too many keys to count
You’re on your way to the bing

Don’t get me wrong, they crooked too
You ain’t got no boats
To get all these drugs through
All them drugs they caught you with
Didn’t even make it to the precinct
They supply your competition
And our communities are still bleeding
Only if Penn State and Temple
Came to the hood
Maybe this young mans life
Wouldn’t be so misunderstood

Sharon Stone says Earthquake was Karma’s way of getting back at China

sharon stone

I’m, you know, not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans, because I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so, I have been very concerned about how to think and what to do about that because I don’t like … that. And then I’ve been, this, you know, concerned about, oh, how should we deal with the Olympics, because they’re not being nice to the Dali Lama who is a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma? When you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?” Sharon Stone

china earthquake

Thousands of people have died and Sharon Stone has the nerve to make such a statement. I am baffled by people’s disregard for tragedies and their lack of respect for the people who lose their lives to such conditions. The people of China do not deserve to be disrespected in this way, and we wonder why people hate Americans. This cocky way of passing judgment upon other nations and its people is disgusting!

MTV SUCKS, SUCKA FILLED RATHER THAN SUCKA FREE!

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

SWAY from MTV and his cronies have lost all credibility. Like it was bad enough that the list of hottest mc’s was horrible. Like how is Rick Ross 5 spots above Andre 3000. How is Common not on the list at all? And how do you have a lengthy discussion about Soulja Boy. Like for real now Soulja boy is considered rap, what were the lyrics to that song again! GTFOH

How is the deciding factor, LYRICS? Seriously Sway I had a decent amount of respect for you but to allow this trash to be representative of the hottest MC’s is really disheartening. It just furthers that the merging of Hip Hop and mainstream is the death of Hip Hop as an art form and the creation of a very lucrative business.

So I click back to MTV.com and I see that they have an honorable mention list. TRASH! Like Kick Rocks MTV and your cronies who know nothing about what Hip Hop is, or what it means to be an MC. This should be the hottest ringtones list, like just because you create a buzz with some bubble gum rap does not mean you are an MC.

Like Talib Kweli put out an amazing album this year, I knew he wasn’t going to get any love because he’s under the radar. But for Common to not even get an Honorable Mention, all of you so called Hip Hop heads lose your credibility. Kanye West, just how you have spazzed about your own injustices in the past, I need for one of your tirades right now about fellow G.O.O.D. Music artist Common. Sway, get some balls and put a real squad of hip hop heads together and make a real list. You have to man, you have to save your credibility on this one fam, Hip Hop needs You!

New Minstrel Show Winner

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

thing 2

While sitting at home last night with some good friends yapping about relationships and the double standard between men and women somehow the channel gets changed to the season finale of Flavor of Love Part III. Utter trash, while watching this and surfing the internet I wondered how this is the highest rated show for Black Americans, as Roland Martin has stated the figures represent this show to be.

I remember being a little boy and wearing a medallion and feeling a sense of solidarity of my blackness from members of Public Enemy and the knowledge they shared with me through their records. I had to start researching and see if Chuck D, whom I have a great amount of respect and admiration for was co-signing this coonery. I was happy to see that he was not on board with Flav and this nonsense but still considered Flav a brother. That’s important to me, similar to what Obama said, we can not disown our families but we do not have to agree with some of their idiotic behaviors.

So Flavor Flav can be seen on VH1 setting the black race back with his modern day minstrel show and his minstrel video hoes. Yep I said video hoes, these women parade around selling sexual images, in their scantilly clad outfits for the world to see in hopes of a break. It worked for New York and a few of the other women who have graced this tv show but what the hell are they thinking?

The winner, her name on the show is “Thing 2″! What kind of degrading nonsense is that? Come on Flav you have to do better than this. Please do not mistake my tone for one of the black bourgeoise whose head is stuck too far in the clouds to laugh. Look through the blog, I laugh all the time but Flavor Flav disgusts me with this chauvinist nonsense. If you were ever looking for the epitome of a NIGGER, or a COON, a dis-credit to the black race than look no further than Flavor Flav. How do you sit and learn with PE and spew knowledge to generations of hip hop heads and then turn around and be the largest proponent of despicable images of black men and women.

I guess you’re laughing straight to the bank Flav, well keep laughing away your self respect. Flavor Flav SUKKS!

Clinton cites Republican Strategist Karl Rove

Hillary Clinton is delusional and I believe the leaders of the Democratic Party need to sit her and her divisive self down and give her a good talking to.

PRESTONSBURG, Kentucky (CNN) – Hillary Clinton defended her reasoning for staying in the presidential race Monday afternoon by pointing out that Karl Rove’s analysis shows her to be the strongest candidate against John McCain in November.

“There has been a lot of analysis about which of us is stronger to win against Sen. McCain, and I believe I am the stronger candidate,” said Clinton, repeating a line from her stump speech.

Then she veered from her usual argument.

“Just today I found some curious support for that position when one of the TV networks released an analysis done by - of all people - Karl Rove, saying that I was the stronger candidate,” said Clinton. “Somebody go a hold of his analysis and there it is.”

Clinton was referring to electoral maps drawn up by Karl Rove’s consulting firm that were obtained by ABC and forecast her currently leading McCain in the electoral college by 53 votes (259-206), while Obama trails McCain by 17 (238-221)

270 electoral votes are needed to win November’s election.

Clinton continued to push for Florida and Michigan’s delegates to be seated but said that even if that happens, the race won’t be over.

“Once we include Florida and Michigan, neither Sen. Obama nor I will have enough delegates to get the nomination so there is no way that this is going to end any time soon because we’re going to keep fighting for the nomination.”

Nas changes controversial album title

May 19, 2008, 01:44 PM | by Simon Vozick-Levinson

Categories: Current Affairs, Music, Music Biz

A representative for Def Jam has confirmed to EW.com that hip-hop artist Nas has made an eleventh-hour decision to change the title of his new album from N—– to simply Nas. The Queens rapper sparked a heated debate last fall when he announced the provocative title for his upcoming ninth record, but last October, Island Def Jam Music Group chair Antonio “L.A.” Reid publicly denied widespread reports that label execs were uncomfortable with his decision. “We stand firmly behind and beside our artists with pride and with pleasure,” Reid told MTV News at the time. “Anything Nas wants to do, I completely stand beside him.”

But in an interview with MTV News last week, Nas suggested that he was facing renewed pressure: “Everybody is trying to stop the title…. Record stores are gonna have a problem in this day and time selling a record with that title. Who knows what’s gonna turn out and be on that title? Who knows what that title will be?” The politically-charged self-titled CD is due in stores July 1. For more of Nas’ thoughts on his new music, check EW’s summer music preview coverage in print on Friday.

MTV SUKKS

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

MTV Sucks for thinking that their horrible round table discussion about who the hottest MC’s in the game right now is relevant. I am just amazed about how these commentators view Hip-Hop! Big Daddy Kane, KRS 1, Rakim, Kool G. Rap are constantly disrespected via this mainstream Hip-Hop nonsense.

Their arguing who the Hottest MC is and have the nerve to have a serious debate about Soulja Boy. Like are you serious, now all of the sudden Soulja Boy is a staple in Hip - Hop. Lyrics were at the bottom of their discussion every time. This debate alone destroys the credibility of this list.

AND WHERE THE F*** IS COMMON ON THE LIST? MTV SUCKS

HOTTEST MC’S IN THE GAME

10. T.I.

9. Andre 3000

8. Young Jeezy

7. Lupe Fiasco

6. 50 Cent

5. Snoop Dogg

4. Rick Ross

3. Lil Wayne

2. Jay-Z

1. Kanye West

CONGRATS TO YEEZY, I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW COMMON IS NOT EVEN ON THE LIST. THE NUMBERS ARE ALL MESSED UP!

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26

For some odd reason this scripture has been on my mind this morning. A few days ago my mother and I were talking about this Marvin Gaye special she was watching on tv (she’s a huge marvin Gaye fan). The special talked about how torn Marvin was and how he dealt with so many internal demons. His father was a pastor and they had a very strange relationship but she told me of this one story where Marvin threw a load of money on his parent’s bed to symbolize that he had finally made it. His father then quoted this exact scripture to him. It got me to thinking, thinking about how we live in a culture where we obsess over so many superficial things.

Are we chasing money and beauty rather than our own true passions. If we are, beauty fades and money is not promised to anyone (Just ask OJ). I know I do it, I have superficial desires and wants. I often wonder will we become all that we dream to be in exchange for our souls, in exchange for the goodness of our spirits. It’s easy to speak of balance and quickly read this and say that it does not apply to you. We can all have a perception of ourselves that is naturally flawed, more focused on what we expect life to be. Or how we believe that we view things, when in practice it may be very different. Just some food for thought for today, it’s raining outside and I am going to ponder on some of these questions and ask myself am I following my passions. Are you? Peace and Grace be unto you.

He who does not seize opportunity today, will be unable to seize tomorrow’s opportunity.

pigs
groom killed

New York Pricks & Dicks at its finest are no more than the murderers of a young family man with ambitious goals and aspirations. Truth is, I am Sean Bell, my brothers and friends are Sean Bell, and you too could be a victim of unjustifiable force by the people who your tax dollars pay to serve and protect; thus making you Sean Bell.

I pray that this time we really do wake up and take this for the issue that it really is. This is not a race issue on it’s face; why yes racial politics are part of the reason things went down the way that they did. However, now that two young girls are being raised without their father we have to look deeper within ourselves, past our skin color and see that this is a humanity issue. Why are young black men’s lives disposable? We get so caught up between black and white that we do not realize that their is a power structure in this country that oppresses people. It often privileges people of caucasian backgrounds and oppresses people of color.

New York Pricks & Dicks serve as an oppressive force upon the many young black males who live within the city limits. In an attempt to “promote safer neighborhoods” they are trained to act a certain way in neighborhoods that are closer to the poverty line than those which are not. You never hear about some wild white boys getting shot in a barage of bullets in a white neighborhood. Why? Because that would be unacceptable to the power structure.

If we think back to the days of slavery you had the slave master but he often had an overseer; an Uncle Tom who he would use to keep negroes in check. Detective Michael Oliver, Gescard Isnora and all of the other black police enforcement who continuously use excessive force on public enemy #1; the black man, are those same Uncle Tom’s. This serves two purposes; 1.) the power structure is still able to control minority men and keep them in check. 2.) They use people who look like them so that their racist power structure is not undermined by political correctness. It looks so much better when its blacks killing blacks rather than whites.

This is not a race issue, this is a humanity issue. White people who are tired of being benefactors to such a racist system and receiving the privilege of not having to be victims of this system should stand with people of color fighting these injustices. This is not the America Barack Obama speaks of; but this is the America that many of us know too well. Couple Hope, Change and groups of different ethnic and racial groups together towards humanitarian issues such as police brutality and we can fight to make this the country the way we would like to pretend that it is!
