Take a Look at Barack Obama’s Shoes

Now who is more in touch with the American people?

A Mother’s Requiem
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
But have you really forgiven me for trespassing against you
At that time in my life I felt alone
Scared that no one would be there
So I ended your chance
To enhance mine
Now I regret
My only opportunity
To give you more than I had
To teach you more than I learned
I sit and think about what could have been
Mother to child
Rocking to sleep on my chest
A kiss of comfort from the beat of my heart
Thoughts have never left my soul
I still cry at the image
Suicidal thoughts ravage my mind
A lifetime away from a new beginning
Our father who art in heaven
Heal my soul because I am torn
No one can truly understand this pain
A pain that continues to leave its mark on the inside
Shame
Fear
Guilt
Each one fueling my demise
Depression
Anxiety
Wanting to feel that life inside me again
Each one fueling my stuttering downfall
Flash back of memories and nightmares
Going to sleep while my child exits my body
Persistent thoughts of the procedure
All on what would have been your day
I ask for your forgiveness
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
Forever and ever
AMEN

Here is the Debate of the debate!!!
Biden Burgers and Palin Pies….
I received my absentee ballot in the mail yesterday and it has just been sitting on my desk, staring at me, saying “make a decision!” I am 23 years old and (hopefully) have a long life in the United States ahead of me, I believe in this country and that this will be one of the most important decisions that I make. The decision we, as young people, make in this election effects our tax rates, our health care, our national security, our education, our job prospects, and much much more for years to come.
And now, the VP debate…
OVERALL: In my opinion, Biden won the debate. He was far more skilled and knowledgeable on issues. If I had to cast my ballot right after the debate, my vote would go to Biden. He was trustworthy, understood the national security threat our nation is under and had practical solutions to solving problems, three issues I care strongly about. However, as far as reality and winning the American public goes, McCain/Palin won. Here’s why: what was everyone talking about before the debate? Sarah Palin. What was everyone talking about after the debate? Sarah Palin. Why did everyone tune in? Sarah Palin. What was the entire debate about? John McCain. Everyone is talking about them, and their silly catch-phrases like “Joe-Six-Pack” and “Maverick” aren’t helping the Obama campaign.
PERSONALITY: Clearly the most talked about aspect of the debate. Right off the bat, Palin went up to Biden and said “Hey, can I call you Joe?” My friends and I cracked up and I thought – what a nutcase. However, she was assertive, confident and maybe threw Biden off his guard for a split second. It was clearly a crafted move, as it was the first thing the American public heard at home after Gwen Ifill’s introduction. Throughout the debate, Biden remained cool, despite his reputation for being a hot-head. There were times when you can tell he was upset, but his advisors have trained him well to smile instead of show his anger. Palin, on the other hand, was a completely different story. She was literally a character in a Broadway production. She was winking and saying “you betchas”, “hecks” and “gosh darns”. However, I bet her personality turned the majority (not all) of small town America on. They connected with her and felt like she was talking to them.
Palin has character. Biden has substance. But at the end of the day, it’s the issues that matter.

To say that we should never second guess Israel is outrageous, and extremely incompetent as a leader. The person or country who will best put forth your best interests are you. To blindly follow anyone’s agenda could mean the death of many American lives and destruction to other lands because you chose to blindly enter into something without exhausting the possibilities.
The Republicans pounced all over Barack Obama for saying that he would meet with other leaders without pre-conditions to tlak about better relations. Essentially what Palin is saying is that she will go to war with other nations not on intelligence that we have gathered but rather the thoughts of one of our allies.
Statements like this show that Ms. Pitt bull in a skirt is more than not ready to lead. She lacks the judgment and common sense to hold the lives of the people in this country in her hands. She has not been doing a great job at parenting maybe she should go sink her teeth into that!
Ps. Her own party is saying she should step down, what does that tell you. OBAMA 08 HERE WE COME!
(CNN) – The United States should not second guess actions Israel takes in the name of security, Sarah Palin seemed to suggest in a Thursday interview.
The Republican VP nominee recently said that she would never “second guess Israel if that country decided to attack Iran.” Speaking with Katie Couric of CBS News, she stood by that quote.
“We shouldn’t second guess Israel’s security efforts because we cannot ever afford to send a message that we would allow a second Holocaust, for one,” she said. “Israel has got to have the opportunity and the ability to protect itself. They are our closest ally in the Mideast. We need them. They need us. And we shouldn’t second guess their efforts.”
The Alaska governor said the United States should be free to relay its rights our concerns, but “we don’t have to second-guess what their efforts would be if they believe … that it is in their country and their allies, including us, all of our best interests to fight against a regime, especially Iran, who would seek to wipe them off the face of the earth,” said Palin. “It is obvious to me who the good guys are in this one and who the bad guys are.”
Palin spent the week meeting with foreign leaders in New York.

I’m watching the speech and I’m sorry people. Just not presidential enough for me. I mean this hockey mom thing is cool…. for the PTA. But I want to hear about how you are going to help lead and change the country and not about how much of a quirky weirdo you are.
I want a leader not someone whose party wants to cry foul when the media properly vets her unlike what John McCain has done.
If there is a person who supports ABSTINENCE ONLY EDUCATION then i would hope that she promotes that same information in her own home. Abstinence only, well what does that do to all of the teenagers who are having sex, what does that do to lower the std rate in this country when you are not educating teenages about safe sex.
WHAT WE NEED IS NOT MCCAIN/PALIN WE NEED REAL LEADERSHIP AND NOT JUST A GIMMICK TO GAIN WOMEN VOTERS!

Why would John McCain pick a candidate who admittedly does not know much about the position she has been picked for? Might it be that McCain thinks women are that blind to real issues that they will vote for this ticket solely because of gender. I wonder if the mainstream media will pick this up!
