Is Barack Obama the Anti-Christ?

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

John McCain thinks so!

John McCain has no moral ground to stand on after his despicable portrayal of Barack Obama in his current ad titled “The One”. To call John McCain and his Campaign cohorts pathetic is an understatement. This idea that McCain will slide into the White House by making his campaign a referendum on Obama instead of his own credentials is preposterous. The American people are not as dumb as McCain thinks or would like us to believe.

The ad attempted to make you feel like you were being bamboozled by some televised church service. To claim to be a Man of God yet use people’s affinity with God to attack an opponent is down right disgusting. McCain should hang it up, I hope that he keeps this nonsense up into the fall so people can see him for who he truly is. A defeatist LOSER!

Here is an interesting article in TIME magazine about this nonsense.

McCain: The Loser

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Is it me or do all the McCain ads criticizing Obama make you look at him like the ineffective LOSER who always has something negative to say because he really has nothing else to say. McCain is like the school yard kid dishing dirt on the popular kid and when someone says “well what do you do” he just looks dumbfounded.

While watching a few of his latest cries for attention I asked myself why is he spending all this money criticizing Obama instead of showing his own strengths. Could it be that McCain has no strengths besides his claim to fame of being a P.O.W. Watch the clips for yourself, McCain becoming the next President of the United States will be worse than George Bush because I honestly think he may be dumber than George Bush.

Barack Obama Responds to McCain and Friends

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Here is Barack Obama socking it to the GOP for their ignorance and blatant mis-representation of his policies and positions on controversial issues. With all of McCain’s mishaps and poor campaigning one can’t help but wonder why Barack Obama is not farther ahead in the polls?

I’m on a World Tour with Obama My Man

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Ok I borrowed some lines from A Tribe Called Quest but hey it flowed for me.

McCain Feels Left Out

Obama Says This Tour May hurt him at Home

And I say………… Let’s get Real

McCain has been overseas, he has given speeches in other countries, he is just angry that his trips were not as successful. And if Americans are mad that Barack Obama went to other countries to essentially start building relationships with these foreign leaders now with the hopes that he will be elected as our President than these are people who are not well informed about the world.

Gone are the days when America can close its doors and not have conversations outside of this country. Everyone is so upset about the economy, well I regret to inform you that we have a global economy and because of 8 years of George Bush we have strained foreign relations. These relationships which have the possibility of throwing us into an even more desperate state are the ones Obama is trying to mend and / or create. Why would’t you want a leader who can understand this global economy and understands that we need to work with other countries to put us atop the world heiarchy again. If you haven’t noticed we have been losing our ground.

There are tons of problems here in the States and it’s not as if McCain was addressing them. One of the biggest problems is the Economy, something McCain has no idea about. McCain has no new strategies that will help the people of America, and as a business man no one wants to go into business with a country who does not understand money. This has been our fate with George Bush and this will be our fate with John McCain.

It’s time we all rally behind Barack Obama, America needs a transformational Leader. Transformational leaders are those who have the ability to have a vision and put the right people in the right places to see that vision come to fruition. I think Barack has these capabilities and on top of that his charismatic leadership style entices tons of other countries and people who will want to do business with America. OBAMA 08 YES WE CAN!

Walmart Removes Mexican Comic “Memin Pinguin”

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

I can’t call it people. Everywhere we turn we are confronted with race issues. It’s really sad that racism plays such an integral role in our lives but I guess when you live in a country founded upon racist principles this was bound to happen. Walmart shows good judgment I think by removing this comic if they are receiving backlash from people of color who feel it is offensive. Have you ever been to Walmart; I know in Philadelphia if they lost the support of their black customers they would go broke! LOL!

To me there’s a deeper issue here; I am not familiar with this comic book and obviously not familiar with how Mexicans perceive it. However I am familiar with the controversy over black and brown relations. I’m appalled by it because I feel all people are created equal no matter what their race, religion or any other affiliation that may make them different may be. It hurts even more when you see two groups of people who are constantly oppressed and instead of binding together, building an alliance and attacking systematic ills of our society. I often hear things that contradict such a beautiful plan of action.

A few nights ago I was watching the Michael Baisden show on TVOne and George Wilborn was asking black people on the street if they would be mad if Latino people had more positions of power. Some of the answers were ignorant in my opinion and they sought to create a divide between these two ethnic groups. Do blacks and browns not know that they are both derivitives of the African Diaspora and are one in the same?

Please do not take that comment as disregarding the rich cultures that both of these particular groups have to offer but I am merely talking about their ancestry. The conditions for both groups here in America are very similar, both groups are losing their young men to gang violence, prisons and the drug trade. Both groups are losing their young women to sexually transmitted diseases. Women of color whether they are Black or Latino are disrespected in the media and often unfavorable images are shown of them. Mistreated in the workplace, a severe housing dilemma and the similarities go on and on. Where does the divide stop? When do we as a people living in this land together, praying to the same God begin to follow those words in our dear Holy books and bind together to create a better future for our children. When?

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc said on Wednesday it removed the comic book “Memin Pinguin” from its stores after receiving complaints the popular Mexican character was a racist depiction of blacks.

The series started 60 years ago in Mexico, and the main character, Memin Pinguin, is a black Cuban-Mexican boy with enlarged lips who often gets into mischief.

Wal-Mart recently started offering the Spanish-language comic in parts of California, Texas and Miami, where the giant retailer serves large populations of Hispanic customers.

“We understand that Memin is a popular figure in Mexico. However, given the sensitivities to the negative image Memin can convey to some we felt that it was best to no longer carry the item in our stores,” said Lorenzo Lopez, a spokesman for Wal-Mart.

“We apologize to those customers who may have been offended by the book’s images,” Lopez added.

A black woman in Houston told the Houston Chronicle this week she complained about the comic books after seeing them at a Wal-Mart.

“I said, wait a minute: Is this a monkey or a little black boy?” Shawnedria McGinty told the newspaper. “I was so upset. This is 2008.”

Many Mexicans argue Memin Pinguin is misunderstood in the United States and that he is a lovable character and not a racist depiction of blacks.

Memin Pinguin was at the center of a controversy in 2005, when the Mexican postal service issued a series of stamps featuring the character.

President George W. Bush called the stamps offensive, which put him at odds with Mexico’s then president, Vicente Fox.

Bill Clinton says Barack Obama must ‘kiss my ass’ for his support

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Say it ain’t so Mr. Clinton. Say it ain’t so Bill. Bill is smarter than this, I simply will not believe it, LOL!

OBAMA YES WE CA, SI SE PUEDE!

Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president’s future campaign role is a “sticking point” in peace talks with Mrs Clinton’s aides.

The Telegraph has learned that the former president’s rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronizing attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could “kiss my ass” in return for his support.

A second source said that the former president has kept his distance because he still does not believe Mr Obama can win the election.

Mr Clinton last week issued a tepid statement, through a spokesman, in which he said he “is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States “.

Mr Obama was more effusive at his unity event with Mrs Clinton on Friday, speaking fondly of the absent former president, who attended Nelson Mandela’s birthday celebrations in London instead. The candidate told the crowd: “I know how much we need both Bill and Hillary Clinton as a party. They have done so much great work. We need them badly.”

But his aides said he has so far concentrated on cementing relations with Mrs Clinton first. They say they are content to let relations with Mr Clinton thaw gradually.

It has long been known that Mr Clinton is angry at the way his own reputation was tarnished during the primary battle when several of his comments were interpreted as racist.

But his lingering fury has shocked his friends. The Democrat told the Telegraph: “He’s been angry for a while. But everyone thought he would get over it. He hasn’t. I’ve spoken to a couple of people who he’s been in contact with and he is mad as hell.

“He’s saying he’s not going to reach out, that Obama has to come to him. One person told me that Bill said Obama would have to quote kiss my ass close quote, if he wants his support.

“You can’t talk like that about Obama - he’s the nominee of your party, not some house boy you can order around.

“Hillary’s just getting on with it and so should Bill.”

Another Democrat said that despite polls showing Mr Obama with a healthy lead over Republican John McCain, Mr Clinton doesn’t think he can win.

The party strategist, who was allied to one of the early rivals to Mr Obama and the former First Lady, said Mr Clinton was “very unhopeful” about the nominee’s prospects in November.

“Bill Clinton knows the party will unite behind Obama, but he is telling people he doesn’t believe Obama can win round voting groups, especially working-class whites, in the swing states,” the strategist said.

“He just doesn’t think Obama will be able to connect with the voters he needs.”

Joe Klein, the author of Primary Colours, a fictious account of Mr Clinton’s 1992 election, who has known the former president for 20 years, said he also heard that he was “very, very bitter”, from people who have spoken with him.

“It’s time for him to get over it or go off and do his charitable work. He knows the rules of the road. What’s going on now is kind of strange. I think his behavior is really, really shocking.”

John McCain says it’s tough to be Proud of America

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

So when John McCain says its tough to be prod of America there is no backlash but when Michelle Obama makes a similar statement the world is up in arms. This is the type of hypocrisy that angers me. Now I know that John McCain did not mean anything unpatriotic by his statements and how they can be viewed out of context. I understand this very much but what I do not understand is why it is so easy to afford him this understanding and not Mrs. Obama for her statements. We all have to do a better job at being objective, and stop hanging onto the trivial things and address what will make this country a better country.

McCain doesn’t pick up on Michelle Obama joke

So a man finally got a question into McCain and he had a very different sort of question.

The questioner noted that he had been educated at Princeton and Harvard and made more than $300,000 a year.

“How can I be proud of my country?” he asked.

Get it — he was mocking Michelle Obama and her statement earlier this year that her husband had for the first time in her life made her proud of her country.

Well, McCain either missed the joke or decided to ignore it and answer the question literally. I think it was the former because the individual asking the question had a thick accent that sounded to be either Indian or Pakistani, perhaps suggesting to McCain a recent immigrant grappling with America’s image abroad.

“I’ll admit to you that it’s tough, it’s tough in some respects,” McCain said, seeming to lend credence to Michelle Obama’s observation.

McCain said America needed to be “more humble, more inclusive.”

He observed that one of the ways to be proud of the country was to look at our history — and the sacrifices U.S. troops have made abroad.

McCain let his questioner follow up and the individual repeated, but didn’t clarify, his line.

In closing, McCain said he was proud of America in part “because of you and what you’ve been able to achieve and accomplish.”

Hillary Delegate now Voting for McCain

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

It is sad how the bitter fight between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton has divided the Democratic Party. Now here we have a Pledged delegate for Hillary Clinton who has publicly stated that she will vote for John McCain. Thankfully the Democrats have kicked her to the curb, sending a strong message “if you’re not here to unite the party GET TO STEPPIN’ (martin lawrence voice)

The Assassination of Barack Obama

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Act I

Scene: The Assassination of Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton is set to take place.

Place: vacant storefront on West 40th Street

Characters: Yazmany Arboleda

Wait a minute this is not a movie or a play this is real life, in the Big Apple this past Friday. Apparently artist, Arboleda transformed a vacant storefront into an art exhibit showcasing his view of the assassination of Senators Obama and Clinton.

According to the nytimes blog this exhibit was shut down only 30 minutes after it started. The gentleman was then hauled of to jail. Now here is where it gets funny, why was he locked up. He claimed that it was art and that his main objective was to show how the media assassinates and villifies these two individuals and play on that.

Hmm I am not sure police were buying his story, but I wonder if he ever had access to this place on 40th street and is that why he got arrested because maybe he was trespassing. I am not sure either way here are the pictures courtesy of http://www.sandrarose.com

Obama Clinches Nomination According to AP

IS THIS REAL, IF SO DRINKS ON OBAMA!

AP tally: Obama clinches Democratic nomination

WASHINGTON (AP) - Barack Obama effectively clinched the Democratic presidential nomination Tuesday, based on an Associated Press tally of convention delegates, becoming the first black candidate ever to lead his party into a fall campaign for the White House.

Campaigning on an insistent call for change, Obama outlasted former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton in a historic race that sparked record turnout in primary after primary, yet exposed deep racial divisions within the party.

The AP tally was based on public commitments from delegates as well as more than a dozen private commitments. It also included a minimum number of delegates Obama was guaranteed even if he lost the final two primaries in South Dakota and Montana later in the day.

The 46-year-old first term senator will face Sen. John McCain of Arizona in the fall campaign to become the 44th president.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP’s earlier story is below.

The tally put Obama over the top Tuesday, ahead of the results from the day’s final primaries in Montana and South Dakota. The Illinois senator becomes the first black candidate
