My hat goes off to Russell Simmons for using his celebrity and media mogul power to tap into this Political movement in such a profound way. A criticism of Black entertainers is often that they do not provide a forum for solutions and this mixtape is an excellent way of getting out Barack Obama’s message of change to people who might not have watched tonight’s debate, who might not have access to youtube and have the luxury of watching media pundits articulate the pros and cons of our political process.

While I sit here listening to this mixtape I am inspired that one man could bring together people of all ethnicities, different economic bacgrounds, different political ideologies and bring them to the same table and involve them in today’s leadership. Thank you to all the artists who ontributed to this project and remember to go out and vote on November 4th. OBAMA 08 YES WE CAN!
