Coined the “Best Hip-Hop Radio Show of All Time” last night Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito reconvened at their old stomping grounds for a 1993 reunion show of sorts. I salute these dudes for all they have done for hip-hop. Real Hip-Hop heads still listen to rare clips of their show, the ones we can find on youtube that is.
The Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Show returned for a one night only 1993
Special, featuring classic freestyles from the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Nasty
Nas, Organized Konfusion, Large Professor, Masta Ace Inc. & OC, plus
infamous demos & b-sides from Hieroglyphics, Diamond D, Hurricane
G, The Artifacts, & more. The WKCR 89.9FM broadcast celebrates
the duo’s appearance at New Museum on Friday, February 22
for the venue’s NYC1993 exhibition, sitting down to discuss
New York City in 1993 through the lens of rap music
with moderator and author Sacha Jenkins.
Salute: Culture King
