I know for a fact that there are plenty of men that are just happy to put their face in the kitty-kat and go home having just and only that! LOL Let's look at the flip side of this and actually delve into what kind of man does that shit! She is undoubtedly deluded, selfish, yadda yadda, but she isn't lying when she speaks of simple ass men. Not to say they don't want more, hope for more, even try to provoke more out of the circumstance, but expecting more…tis different. And I know from experience, not my own, but first hand account, that men will come and lick the kitty, expecting nothing more than that, and leave with just that having happened. Maybe for bragging rights, i dunno, nonetheless, thats all that happened.. regularly.

Hold him accountable for the 100+ days he's been in office? How long have other black leaders been on their grind and were speaking about folks who have no political position and give a damn what white folks think and the state of black folks is none the better and I like to feel that I'M responsible for MY own community. A community begins within someone's household… folks forever worried about the head instead of the NECK.

i think your reaction is typical of black people in that you speak of progress but you do not demand it. Every group that gets ahead in this country understands quid pro quo. Barack Obama being president ends a psychological end of the black struggle in this country but the truth is we need more than psychological, we need the physical.

keep telling yourself that Obama needs time and you'll find yourself 8 years later still with a failing education system. Obama is a great man but he is a politician and politicians only make things happen when you have the power to get the elected and you demand form the, Does he need to hold down the black community because we are black and he is black. No he needs to cater to us because we voted for his as he needs to cater to the gays and whoever else demands that he helps to push through the legislation that he promised. Did we vote for change or a chance. because when your telling me that people are expecting miracles I disagree, groups are expecting what they were promised.

Hold the man accountable, any good President who made change for groups of people did so because the people made their demands clear and used their votes as collateral. If Obama was white would you be so protective over him. I doubt it, don't do the man a dis-service by not holding him accountable and challenging him to provide for your community

Progress doesn't come automatically because our president is a black man ,that just ends one phase of the black struggle. The presidency is a political position so, for folks to expect him to cater to one group of folks is beyond me. For blacks or gays or women or anyone esle to say.. Okay it's our turn now and you gotta pick US because we picked you is NO PROGRESS. We have all these systems and structures designed to keep certain people OUT and they have to undone brick by brick.. Gosh we are some microwave society folks… i want it now.. me and I.. I swear If I was Obama I wouldn't run for a second term and go back to lettin' whosie-whats-it handle thangs.

calling a spade a spade. we al know that as the first black president obama has to be very calculated. i need to post that clip of him talking about black issues the other day, he did such a poor job discussing the people who overwhelmingly supported him. he wouldn't sound half as crappy discussing latinos or jews, why, because he wants to court their vote. he already has ours, this debate now has nothing to do with MJ and more to do with quid pro quo for our votes.
