After reading this article, I’m going to do all I can do to inform my gay and lesbian friends of the danger there is in these places and I’m sure they will also be taking their vacations elsewhere. Maybe when the word gets out to the gay community and tourism falls off considerably and these countries start to lose money, the government there will do more to protect gays and lesbians.

Believe me, the gay and lesbian community is large enough and wealthy enough to make a noticable difference in the tourist industry in Jamaica, Barbados, and other West Indian countries if they stop vacationing there. And as a friend of the gay and lesbian community, I will make it one of my missions to inform them of these facts!! You know what I wish?! I wish somehow we could rid the world of all the Haters like Buju Banton and the others!

Damn them!!

So, now that we’ve established that Nelly didn’t exploit anyone, let’s talk about him trying to raise awareness about leukemia. I think it was jacked up that Spelman with their ‘our s**t don’t stink, we’re too good for that’ attitude made such a big deal about that video and wouldn’t let him do a good thing. I bet half their husbands and boyfriends have received lap dances from the women in that video. they just didn’t want to know about it. As women, we do have to start taking responsibility for our own actions. this is a case of wanting to put the blame where it shouldn’t be. First things first, let’s look at the women that allow this activity in the strip clubs. the women need to take responsibility.

They are two TOTALLY different subjects! It bothers me that Nelly wants to be respondsible for doing his part to fight lukemia, but doesn’t want to take respondsibility for doing his part to exploit women. He has a daughter and I know he wouldn’t want anyone to exploit his child at any age. Those women are mothers, daughters, nieces, and aunts and possibly grandmothers. Just as hard as he helps to fight for those who have lukemia he should fight for those women who may not know there is another way besides stripping and exploiting themselves.

It’s upsetting to see a grown man with a daughter not understanding how is his actions have an affect on ppl, and now it’s their choose. Yes it’s their choose, but we aren’t talking about everyone else we are talking about your choices. You have a child and you wouldn’t want it done to your child, so why do it to someone else. BOTTOM LINE!
