I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8: 18
I had to come back to this concept of suffering because it was weighing on my mind. Suffering can be found in the form of physical pain, mental anguish, or a inner disruption with your soul. That feeling when your soul feels out of place, or you have a gut feeling and it’s not a good one. All of this is suffering and we all go through it. Wikipedia says suffering can go from mild to intolerable; intolerable SUCKS! In talking with my brother last night we both agreed that it did not make sense to complain, it makes more sense to understand that your troubles are a part of something greater. But right then we both stopped and spoke about the cleshe’s you hear. You ever hear someone tell you don’t worry God has something great for you. But that’s all they say, and they say it to you and the next ten people behind you. It’s not that what they are saying is not true but it lacks context and may just sound like the person needed something to say.
This is annoying, it is annoying to hear religous cleshe’s that are not in context with what may be going on in your life. This does not mean they are not true but just like if you were to hear part of a conversation but you did not understand the context; the conversation is worthless to you. So suffering and our troubles are part of a contextual setting that at times we do not understand. I’ve learned that remaining optimistic about your situation helps us reconcile the overall bigger picture. We all know that we are not going to get out of our mess by ourselves, so we pray on it. The bigger the trouble, the bigger the chance God has to prove himself so great in our lives. So our troubles in context become a part of our greater testimony. They show where we have come from and how we are going to get to where we need to go. No longer should we fret over our problems, I mean atleast let’s try not to because to just abandon worrying might be kind of hard. But understand that our problems play a significant role in our victory, in the greatness we will become so we just have to embrace them and learn from them. Peace and Grace be unto you.
In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was within me an invincible summer.
